OLIVIA CULPO FROM USA CROWNED MISS UNIVERSE 2012
The finale of Miss Universe 2012 pageant was held on December 19, 2012, at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States where Olivia Culpo, a 20-year-old university student from New York, took the crown from last year’s Miss Universe, Leila Lopes from Angola.
Olivia Culpo managed to come on top of 88 contestants from other countries and territories who participated in this year’s pageant. This makes her the first American to be crowned Miss Universe in 15 years.
The winner rocked a red deep v-neck gown by Georges Hobeika Couture Fall 2012.
