Unique: Harlan Guthrie and Holly Young took to the woods for a zombie themed engagement photo shoot
Typical? The photos begin as a typical wedding
might, a picturesque gathering in the woods outside Toronto with a
beautiful bride friends crying tears of joy
Man of godlessness? But as the newlyweds skip
off to meet their future as a couple, things take a turn and
Bless me father: The priest who marries the couple promptly tries to eat their brains thereafter
Onslaught: Harlan conquers the undead priest, but the man of the cloth turns out to be just the beginning
Brains: Once the priest is vanquished, it seems the who wedding party has turned undead and they are after some newlywed brains
Chilling: The dauntless, cannibal creatures pursue the couple though the Canada wilderness
Match made in hell: The couple decided on the
unique shoot ahead of their October 19 nuptials because of a mutual love
for horror movies
Feverish: The wedding party and guests, played by friends of the couple eventually all succumb to zombie fever
Cold-hearted: Harlan manages to find a weapon to
fend off the lumbering brain eaters. He said he based the look of the
zombies on the movie Warm Bodies
Horrifying: Friends of the couple weren't at all
surprised when they learned they be a part of a zombie themed
engagement photo shoot because the high school sweethearts both love the
horror genre
Battle to the death: Like any self-respecting
zombies, the ones in the couples' shoot lumber, and moan, and generally
crawl toward their victims
Funny: Also like most zombie movies, the effects are at once gruesome and simultaneously ridiculous
Escape? The battle nears its end as the beautiful couple appears to be nearly in the clear
Surrounded: But then things appear hopeless for Harlan and Holly as the zombies surround them. The embrace for a final kiss
The end? The zombies quickly close in as the couple, just minutes after their marriage, kiss for the last time
Harlan says it could have only ended one way.
'You can¿t win a zombie apocalypse,' Guthrie explained to the News. 'You
just try to survive as long as you can.'
